This was an awesome process for my fiancé and myself. We left the town we were staying in (Bani) at 3am. This is what she wanted to do. We arrived around 4am shocking we didn't get lost much) and were the second ones on line. They give priority to those with minors 18 and younger, so we had to wait. Once we got in, we went through security and received our number (173). They were now serving number 100. Although they were going pretty fast, it seemed as if we were in the movie beetle juice when he gets his huge number and they are like at # 12. Before I get into details, make sure you have the following with you.
Ds160 or 260 if already married
Acts de nacimiento in extensa
That receipt You print out before you go to banco popular to pay for the cita
Both your passports
Sealed physical
Proof of relationship
Don't bring anything inside the embassy other than your documents
- no cells , cigs, nothing.
Now. We were the first on line so just to get in is the confirmation of appt and ds 160. It doesn't have to be stamped from taking your finger prints at galleria 360
So now when you get called upto the window, you will hand over these documents
In extensa birth certificate
Printed receipt to pay banco popular
Both passports
Address and phone number of petitioner in the USA
Sealed physical
Now you will have a seat and wait for them to call you up. Don't stress anything because remember, this is the story of you and your mate. You should know what they want to hear.
The best answer is the truth. About 6 or 7 questions later, we were congratulated on our approval.
It was a simple and quick process and we had a 7am appt time. We were out just before 9am.
