My interview was at 8:30am but as I had read on here and heard from fellow VJ'ers, I got there just before 7am and was about 4th in the line. Went through security with no problems and my number was called after about 5 minutes. The first gentleman I saw was absolutely lovely. He took my interview letter, 2 photos, courier info and my finger prints. He handed me my chest X-ray and checked over my AOS. He asked me how long we had been married and when I was planning on going to the states. I then sat back down in the waiting room and this time I waited for about 30 minutes. I was then greeted by a sweet lady, who seemed nervous and stutters herself! She had a man also behind her as if she was being watched and I did presume she was new as she asked me a lot more questions than I had anticipated.
I was again asked how long we had been married, where and when we met (very in depth questions, really wanted a lot of information), she asked me about my husbands family/siblings/nieces and nephews, what we did from the time we met until now and how we kept the relationship going, what my husband did for a living and how long had he been doing it. All the while she was checking all my documents, even our photos and evidence. She turned to check with the guy behind her if was all okay and then she congratulated me and said my visa was granted and handed me back my original documents.
I was not prepared for the questions but as I said I felt like she may of been new and since I knew all the answers it was easy. Overall very good experience, I was a little apprehensive but it was all very straight forward. My advice would be to just get there for 7am no matter what time your appointment says! Also, phones were allowed in there. I was told they were not but I had mine on me the whole time. Now, to the states I go!!!!!
