Visa interview for K-1 visa - 8am appointment
I arrived at 7:30am, there were about 30-40 people outside. Two lines, one 8am, other 8:30am and after. I got into the embassy by 7:50am, and my number was I905, they started at I901, so I presumed I was the fifth in line!
Questions that were asked:
- So tell me how you met?
- When did you meet in person?
- How did the relationship progress?
- And what does he do for work?
Interview was with a lady, she was friendly. All answered honestly with relatively short answers, I stumbled over my words a little at the start, but I think that's to be expected!
The whole process is relatively straight forward, and like many have said it's just a formality to confirm information/dates they already have. I was nervous but that was mainly due to the waiting! A whole 2hrs of waiting after the document check aspect of the interview. I thought something was wrong as every "I" number around mine had been called (even though there are notices everywhere stating numbers aren't called in order).
All in all the interview lasted a whole minute! And I was on my way, walking right into the torrential rain outside with no umbrella. :-(
In at 7:50am, out at 10:50am. :-)
