DORA-Dallas District

DORA-District Office Rapid Adjudication Program for those covered by Dallas, El Paso, Oklahoma.

For those of you who fall under this program, you may opt to file your papers in person using INFOPASS. The program aims to provide the immigrant a green card in 90 days.

We were at the Dallas district office for our 10:15 appointment but was actually interviewed at 12:45. The immigration swore us both in then asked information that was written in my I-485, G325A and Affidavit of Support. She asked for evidence of our union. Pictures of the wedding-she took 3 of them to stick into the paperwork. Evidence of our relationship ( I showed a joint bank account statement). Then asked for any of the paperworks showing how we met, communication prior to our marriage.

My husband pointed out the redundancy of the whole thing and the officer replied that the National Visa Center is a separate dept from them so whatever paperwork is with them is normally not forwarded unless they ask for it.

Also I found that you need not apply for an EAD along with the AOS since they are trying to speed up the process. At this point my husband advised them that I already submitted the application with payment and if it was possible to get it back? the officer was kind enough to agree so we got our application and money order for EAD back!

She then explained the DORA program and said that if my application is not rejected, I should recieve a notice in 60-75 days for my biometric appoint afterwhich a green card will soon be sent. The whole process to be done in 90 days as is the aim of the program.

We were done with the interview by 1:20pm.
