We had our interview last week and all went smoothly. I was nervous about even being allowed to go in since the letter we received said no one but applicant but other reviews indicated the fiancé was allowed and I did want to be there if for no other reason than just for my fiancé to know I was there for him through the process from start to finish. I was really happy when the entry guard just looked at my passport along with my fiancés and gave us a friendly smile and told us to proceed to the other line. Once in and we had submitted our paperwork to 1st window we ewere told to wait to be called to other window for interview. It was really nerve racking listening to others being questioned and the family right before us was declined on a family petition and after seeing them walk away I was stupid nervous as it was as if the last few years had come to that moment and the realization that people do get declined (from what I could gather they had been in the states and let their visa expire and violated their stay here and were told they were now "ineligible")But then we were called up... The woman that conducted our interview was very friendly and even told me I could come to closer to the window so she could talk to me too. The only question she asked me was if I had met his family. He was asked a handful of very reasonable questions, how long we knew each other, where / how we met, when we decided to make a go of the relationship, when we got engaged, if either of us had been married before, if either of us had kids, if he had met my kids, what I did for a living, and then asked about what happened in regards to a driving accident that happened 20 years ago and then asked if we brought pictures to show her and then smiled and said your application is approved.
