MY CR-1 INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE
Get hotel that just walking distance at the Embassy so no need to rush if I wake up late 😜
Woke up around 3:00am and prepare my self and all the things that I will bring to the Embassy. I leave the hotel around 4:45am and arrived at the Embassy at exactly 5:00am.
When I arrived at USEM, there's two lady that tells me where is the line for immigrant applicant they are also selling pens and foods. At 6AM they started to called all the Immigrant Visa Applicant that are schedule for 6:15AM and instructed us to fall in line then prepare the passport and and 1st page of appointment letter. I present my passport and appointment letter to the lady in charge and she put sticker at the back of my passport and give me a plastic zip bag and ask me to put my passport inside, they also gave me a form of 2GO form that I need to fill up on where will I want my visa to be deliver.
Went inside but I need to go under the security checking first. Pls be advise that there's no Gadgets, dangerous weapon, lighter, food and drinks allowed inside, there's a small stall inside so no need to worry if you feel hungry. After the security check you will see a 3 windows there that u will need to show your passport and appointment letter, u can fall inline at any of those 3 windows. I line up in window 3 and got my lucky number 6031😁the lady told me to give my number in window 69 which is located in the actual embassy building.
Inside the building there's another security check. After the second security check I ask the lady on where is the window 69 but she said just give my appointment to her and just sit down and wait for my number to flash at the screen ( numbers are flashing randomly so pay attention to it )
My number flash at window 42 so I went there fast ( need to wait for my turn cause there's applicants that in the line) the man asked my number, name, birthday and said put my left four fingers in the finger printing scanner, the other right four fingers and then both thumbs, then get back on my sit.
A few minutes later ( don't know the exact waiting time ) my number flash again at window 48 for my first interview. The consul was a very nice lady, she get my passport and cemar. She ask me just 4 questions:
-WHAT IS YOUR HUSBAND NAME?
-HUSBAND'S BIRTHDAY?
-WHAT IS YOUR FULL NAME?
-WHAT IS YOUR BIRTHDAY?
Then she told me to sit back and wait for my final interview.
(While waiting I already fill up the paper they gave me the gate)
Again my number flash in widow 60. It's an American consul, he asked me to raise my right hand while reading the oath (ds-260). He then told me to place my four finger scanner and asked me question.
Consul: what body part of your husband is your favorite? ( his smiling while he keep looking at my papers)
Me: I'm sorry what? ( wondering about his question and I thought I heard it wrong )
Consul: I said what body part of your husband do u like?
Me: his chest with too much of fur, love sleeping in my husband's chest.
The consul loughs so loud and told me "That's all congratulation"
Went to sit again and a few minutes later my name was called (forgot the window) she asked what's my number then check my file. The lady said they don't need anything from me so just wait for my visa to arrived, she said before I go home submit the paper I fill up in the window of 2Go.
I asked the lady in 2Go window if I can just pick up my VISA in MOA, she said yes
Then there u go! I leave the embassy with a huge smile on my face. My mom,dad and sister is waiting outside the embassy and I grab my moms phones and check the time, It's 8:45am. The interview just takes 2hours and 45mins from entering the embassy to the time that I get out.
I bring all my documents with me and didn't mind if it's heavy but they didn't ask for more evidence.
I still advice u bring everything cause all the consul is different and you never know what will they asked from u.
My visa interview was smooth and thank God the consuls that interviewed me was all nice
