My wife Irene had her interview on the 24th of June. I had her spend the night in a hotel so it would be easier in the morning. According to Irene, her interview was just ok. They asked the normal questions about our relationship. One was very nice and seemed very helpful and the other was just very stern. Both however just had different personalities. Luckily the nicest one was the second interviewer, the US Consul. They liked her very much. The interviewer said she was approved, but she would require a NBI certificate with her maiden name and I had to get a divorce certificate from a marriage that ended 10 years ago. She got the NBI with her married name, which she has used for the last five and a half years. So we got the dreaded 221g. Well it took a couple weeks to gather that information and get it to the embassy. Well on the 22nd, we got the "Issued" status and all was well.

So it really did not matter what happened at the interview. She was happy when the issued status came up, but still held the joy for the visa was not in hand. Now it is, and as far as we are concerned, the interview was great. All in all, it was easy, according to her, as we had practiced allot and she was ready, even the off the wall questions. So the 18th is bounce off the moon day. Thank you to all of you who have prayed and helped us thru our journey, especially when the anxious times get in your mind. Continue to pray, there is nothing better.
