Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Appointment was at 2:15. We arrived at 2:00 and they called us back at 2:25. The IO was a young man who was very polite and courteous. The interview lasted approximately 35 minutes. He reviewed our file, asked the standard security questions, then asked us for a brief summary of our relationship. He took notes on everything, handwriting it all as we talked. Then he asked to see our pictures and any other supporting evidence we had. We gave him our proof of joint bank account, joint credit card, joint utility bills, proof of my wife on my medical, dental, and life insurance (all showing she was covered and beneficiary). He kept the documents but gave us back the photos. He also said he didn't need to keep our EAD/AP card, so we kept it. Then he said we were approved and we should expect the card within four weeks. On our drive home, USCIS status updated to "Card/Document Production". Very easy interview, nothing to be stressed about.
