We are from Santiago so we arranged to take the minibus that picks you up from ur house and takes you directly to the embassy. We left around 2am and arrived around 5am. Our Cita was for 6:45am. We were standing on line until 6ish. Hubby and I were separated once they started letting people in. They ask for the first page of the cita letter and staple a number to it. I got number 130. I didn't have to wait line on the security line since I didn't have a purse or anything else. Hubby had the documents. Once inside we waited for our number. This part goes in order. The embassy is nice. The air conditioner works very well. I was cold the whole time. I didn't bring a scarf or sweater;-( I had on a sleeveless blouse, jeans n flats. Hubby had on a long button down, jeans and sneakers. Once our number was called (widow 16) they asked for the updated police certificate, medical, cita letter and passport. Once she collect these items she told my husband to go to window 1 or 2 for fingerprinting. He did that on his own n we waited again for our number to be called. The numbers after this are called randomly. We might of waited about an hour or two not really sure. We heard our number called for window 23. A young American woman had the opportunity to interview us. She swore us in in Spanish and then started the questions. I was asked most of the questions and they were done in English for me and Spanish for hubby. Here are the questions that we remembered
How and where u met
Why did we take ten years to marry
Where does he work n do
Parents names
What were u doing in DR during the time u met him
Can I see pictures
Who does he live with
Who is that little boy in the pic
How old is his sister
Marriage date
How many attended wedding
Where I work and what I do
Again she asked Why ten years
Have u been arrested...
Any children outside marriage and with each other
First marriage
How long has he worked there
Cuando fue el ultimo visita
Cuanto dias
Donde se queda cuando viene
Where is the wedding dress...
Who bought the wedding dress
Si Alguna veces ha hido a lo usa??
Magic words were said "visa aprovado"
The interview was less than 10 mins I think. She gave us the green
Slip and advised to pay domex. We were done by 11ish. Domex was short line as well. Maybe like 15-20 mins the most. Remember no cell phones! Dress comfortable. Eat breakfast if you can!

The only think I saw as an issue but wasn't a big deal was the lines outside before you enter the embassy. Once they opened the doors, everyone started moving and skipping n it wasn't organized... But hey it happens
