I am wiring this review on behalf of my parents who had their interview on July 3rd 2014. Before I must inform that since I was not willing to take any chances with this interview process, I sent in all copies of documents and originals (where necessary) just so if CO asks for it my parents can provide anything and everything right on the spot rather than having to come back on another day.
The inter view time was at 7am but I told them to be there by 6:30am just so they can get an early token and get done early. This is exactly what happened. They were the 5th one in lie for the interview. Offcourse after submitting the finger prints and medical records in the beginning they were told to sit and wait for their turn.
From what I was told the CO was a very nice guy. Young person in his mid twenties. He asked only 3 questions (with a smile on his face)
-What does your son do?
-Show me pictures with a family group photo (Had sent them atleast 100 pictures). So my mom showed him one from when I was 4 or 5 years old and he was fine with the picture.
-Where else have you traveled besides US. (btw my parents are frequent travelers of US and have been to other countries in the past - just for visit)
Thats it. He gave back all the original documents and told them that their visa is approved and they will get their visas in 15 days. He took down their numbers again just so they have the right number for when American Express calls them. Before leaving my mom confirmed with him again if he meant to say 20 days and he said no not 20, 15 days.
Overall experience was really good. I think my parents were in and out within 2 hours but the interview itself only took like 10 minutes I think.
He kept their passports and as of today July 5th 2014 the status still says READY. Hoping to see this changed to ISSUED soon Insha Allah.
