My interview was at 7.30 am and reached the embassy at 7 am.We stood in the queue for 7.30 appointments and the officers outside, advised us to keep only the passport and the visa appointment letter in hand. Then we were let inside. Mobile phones are not allowed so better do not take a chance as i am not sure if they have a facility to keep the things inside. Then the officers inside will give you a small chit with instructions on how to keep the docs ready, eg, DS260 confirmation page, copy of police certificate, copy of marriage certificate, copy of birth certificate, 1 photo, affidavit of support. Also if you do not have photocopies, then dont worry, they have zerox machine inside, they charge only 5 rupees per page. We were then given a token number. Within few minutes, the counters became open and my token no flashed on screen, the Indian consular returned all my original documents and he opened my sealed Medical report and attached it with my file. He gave the pamphlet on domestic violence and asked me to read it as the American consular might ask me questions on it.Only 2 questions were asked by him.
1.Have you visited any countries?
2.Have you applied for a U.S. visa before?

Before the questions were asked you have to take the oath. After the oath, she asked what do you understand by what i have just read out. Then the questions started.
1. Who is calling you?
2. Whats his name?
3. What does he do?
4. When did you get married?
5. How long have you been married?
6. Do you have kids?
7. What do you like about your husband?
8. Have you read the pamphlet on domestic violence? What do you understand by it?
8. What does your family think about your marriage?
9. She asked for wedding pictures. Saw only 3 pictures out of around 100s and she pointed at my husband's uncle's picture, asking who he is. Then in another picture she asked to identify my parents in that picture.
I was ready for next question when she said the magical words'You are approved' and that i will get my passport in 7 days.
