My interview was scheduled for 7:40am today (May 13th). I arrived at the Montreal Consulate at 7:15, there were 3 people ahead of me. Once the doors opened, passed through security, which was similar to airport security, easy enough. Was then told to go downstairs and have a seat, wait until someone comes to let us in the elevator. The room downstairs filled up quite quickly. And I have to say a big thank you to all the peeps who left review here; when the elevator door opened, i made my way to the BACK of the elevator (as suggested by fellow VJers from Montreal Consulate). I was given #3. Woohoo! Saw the first lady at about 8:15, handed over most of my documents (thank goodness I had everything in order). First was passport, medical results, appointment letter. Then birth certificate, police record check and affidavit of support(with supporting documents), lastly she took my fingerprints. Was told to go sit down again. Called back again at about 9:15. The interview itself consisted of "where and when did you meet?, what does your fiance do for a living? what are your wedding plans?" That was it!!! Never asked to see relationship proof (still glad I had some with me). Took the oath, told me my visa was approved and should be ready for pickup between 1-2 weeks. I was out of there by 9:30. It was way less stressful than I had anticipated. Happy dance!
