The big arrived, July 30, 2013 was our Consulate Interview javascript:emoticon('')at 5:00 in the morning, I woke up the kids ages 16 daughter, 14 and 11 sons to get ready. They are under K-2 category. I was preparing the documents all in one bag a night before. We arrived in Manila Embassy exactly 6:30 AM. And there are already long line according to Visa's category. In K-1 not so long, so we fit our selves in and while waiting for the staff to check the necessary documents, I offered a prayer to our Lord God that all will be done according to HIS will javascript:emoticon('')The woman who's in charged in reviewing and checking documents was amazed how I am so organized and clip all those documents to each 4 applicants (me and 3Kids)separately. She said wish everyone is like you Mam very organized and neat. It made my day start good javascript:emoticon('')told her Thank you very much! Well when we are inside in waiting area it took us 3hrs before our number was been called. My kids already had their breakfast at waiting area. They have a small shop in the center that offers sandwiches, coffee, soda, bottled water and biscuits and even instant cup noodles. javascript:emoticon('')While inside the Embassy we passed a very strict check, through bags, X-ray body scanner but the security guards are very nice and polite and telling my kids Congratulations even though we are not been interviewed! And don't know what will be the outcome after interview. How nice of her giving my kids positive vibes. And after the X-ray scan check, we passed another check by 2 security men and same thing check my bag and check my Embassy appointment number and point us where to sit and wait. I am so thankful my kids are very behave and patience that day. We sit another 2 hrs before our number flash in the digital counter screen. My kids are in chorus Mama it is our number now javascript:emoticon('')The pre interview was conducted by a Filipina, she was kinda tight, how disappointing while she is a Filipina like me. She is not so polite of what I am expecting to be inside those windows. She asked document in a hard voice and pouting face. Anyway, I told myself not to be distracted by her bad day, she might have a negative vibe since the time since she woke up that day. I keep on smiling and say thanks and excuse me or pardon me please if I can't understand what she's saying while she keep talking and not looking on my eyes. Like mumbling for something. She even told me to let my kids sit and not around me while they are not needed to her window. Exactly, very unprofessional. And then after she let me signed some papers. She told me to go back on my sit and wait there for the final interview by a Consul. When I am back in my chair, I offered a prayer silently to release the tension I had with the preliminary interview. I guess it is a psych war to give you edges. I really don't know what's on her mind. Anyway, I keep on praying and keep calm and then after less than an hour my number flashed again and with the window number to go. I got up together with my kids and told them to smile, even though it is already lunch, been 6 hours passed since we are awake. And they are already starving. Kids you know. The Consul was American. He smiled at us and greet us Hello, and I say Hi good morning Sir! He asked if I understand English or needed a translator. I said I understand and can speak English, Sir! He asked me to follow him and says the VOW. He look on my papers and asked my kids name one by one. My kids are doing great. javascript:emoticon('')They are smart to answer the Consulate on their names and birthday and also describing about their Dad. I told the him that we are in 7 years in relationship but my Annulment just released last year. He first met my youngest son when he was 4 year old and now he is 11. The Consul was very polite and nice, he keep on smiling and only asked few questions. He even not ask for pictures evidence. And then he handed me a leaflet regarding domestic violence awareness in USA. He didn't say if I approved or denied. He just told me that you will go to Window 72 just for more requirement regarding your NBI. But it is not a big deal, I know you can handle that. I was teary eyes and said, Thank you very much Sir!javascript:emoticon('')javascript:emoticon('')javascript:emoticon('')
