More of an event to relay the facts of your relationship than to be interviewed per se. For instance, I was asked the following questions, name, date of birth, where you will live in the U.S., when you will go, when will you marry, where did you and your partner meet and what does your partner do for a living. The answers were very basic and they did not require much detail on anything. They checked I had all the correct paperwork, and that was basically it.
There were two negative points to my experience, (i) the charge for leaving items at the chemist around the corner. Complete rip-off but then again they know you have very little choice if you have traveled up to London alone for the interview; and (2) the US size passport photos I was informed to have taken were deemed too big by the embassy assistant and took my standard UK ones instead. The US size photos are almost 50% more in price. Another waste of money. javascript:emoticon(' ')
