Review Topic: K1 Visa

Hi, I got my K1 visa approved yesterday!!
Some tips for you!
# If you come by bus(Megabus/Greyhound), ask them to keep your bags for you because the consulate doesn't allow big bags/backpacks, sharp metal/knives or electronics like cell phones/car remote!! Be warned!!
... or find lockers in malls/hotels in "Place Ville Marie"(see the map below)

# Study Montreal's "Underground City" map at http://www.stm.info/en/info/networks/maps, which keeps you warm while you travel within Montreal downtown during their -17C FREEZING winter!!

# Remind them you submitted an updated DS160 if you visited US after submitting the DS160 the first time...

# Statement of Intent to marry... Two statements, one from you and one from your fiance(e)

# They asked for I-134(not I-864, which is mentioned in MTL-SUP-ENGL-0015-1310.pdf from http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3742.html)

# US petitioner status: photocopy of passport can do

---==My experience
Ok. My experience with the Montreal Consulate is very good.
They are polite and professional. I arrived there at around 7:58am, then the whole interview process took me around 1 hour and 30 min.(I had a few people before me in line already when I got there). The lady officer didn't ask me much. Just some basic questions like where did you two meet, show photos and where was this taken, show income tax return, where does she & her father work...
