Our Interview was on 12/16, Here is the review!

We stayed at the Barcelo Santo Domingo. It was a great hotel, I'd highly recommend it. On Monday the 16th we woke up at 3:15 am and began getting ready for the interview, my fiance wanted to take a taxi instead of walk so we left the hotel at 5 am and arrived at the embassy at about 5:05 am. There were about 45 people in front of us.

They began letting people in at 6:30, you must have patience! That hour and a half goes very very slow. At the door they will ask for your interview letter and give you a number, ours was number 94. You then split into males/females to go through security. Once inside you sit on either the left or the right side of the building depending on the type of visa you are applying for.

We sat for about 15 minutes and then our number was called! We were 4th or 5th I think to be called. We went up to window 24 and a nice lady asked for my fiance's forms/passport/back receipts/birth certificate/police report. She than told us to go to window 14 to pay for the rest of the visa and then go back to see her. We paid walked back and gave the lady the receipt then got a pamphlet about domestic violence in the usa and were told to sit down until we were called back.

We sat back down and 45 minutes later we were called up to window 15 for fingerprints. There was a line of about 20 people in front of us. We finally got up to the window about 15 minutes later and the lady told us we should have come straight to the front because they wanted to us quickly. my fiance was finger printed and then we went and sat back down. About 20 minutes later we were called up to window 26. The gentleman there asked our names and swore us in.

He asked us both..

Any children?
previous marriages?

he asked me...(the petitioner)

how did we meet?
have I met her family? Who?
how many times have I visited?
who do I live with?

he asked my fiance

have you ever left the dr?
have you met his family? what are his parent's name?
What are your plans for the wedding?

That was it! he never asked for the i-134 or any evidence!

Very very simply and easy.

Relax! everything works out if you tell the truth! We did the interview in english by the way.
