Hello Everyone!!!

I had my interview on the 18th November 2013. I was approved. It is just a breeze although i was very nervous the night before and could not sleep at all.

I stayed at Hotel Omni Mount royal. Very nice hotel if are looking to spend a bit more. staff was friendly and it is just 10 min walk from the counsalate. I woke up at 5:30 am and got ready. I had put all my papers in order the night before so i did not had to do that in the morning. I was out of the hotel by 6. It was quite chilly and windy so if you have your interview coming up please be dressed in layers and keep warm.
I stopped at tim hortons to grab something before i went and was there by the cousalte by 6:30am. There was already someone infront of me and i was second in line. The time went very fast as we both were talking and co incidently we both were going to the same state in thr US. At 7:30 the guards came and let us in one by one. There was a lady there checking our Passport Loomis info and put your registration number at the back of your passport. Then i went throgh secrity same as at the airport. it was preitystraight forward.
After security i went down a couple of stairs and there was a bunch seats infront of the elevator. at 8:00 the security guard came and let us in the elevator. when we reached the 19th floor we went left to window 14a/b be careful while getting off the elevator as people want to cross you and get ahead of you. At the window i got my ticket number i was C2. after about 5 mintes or so i was called at window 2 and a vry nice lady greeted me and took my original birth certificate, Marriage certificate & I-864, she also took my medical but did not take the CD and also the pictures she took. She asked me a couple of question like where i ll be staying in the States and confirmed my address in Canada. She then told me to have a seat and an interview officer will call me. At this point of time i was very calm and was satisfied as everything was going well as i had read on VJ. Adter about 10 mintues i was called at window 8 and a nice lady greeted me there. She got me to read the oath and then asked me the following questions:
How did you meet?
Where will you be staying in the US?
How does you husband do?
How long as he be working for that company?
What do you do in Canada?
How many people came to your wedding?
is this your first marriage? do you both have kids?
Do u have any criminal records in india or Canada?
For how long did u date? how long were u engaged for?

She then said that she will be making notes in her computer and then let me know. While she was typing i was very anxious to know what was the result? the lady was very interested in out story and asked me more questions about our relation. After she was done she said those magical words i was waiting to hear for the past 1 year " I AM APPROVING YOU VISA" she printed the Welcome to the United states letter and explained me the loomis process. i was so excited from inside but had to control my feelings.
I was soo happy after i got of the building felt like jumping and screaming that i did it and its finally now over.

If you have all you papers in order and you know your stuff.. it is just a breeze. Thanks Visa journey. i am so excited to start my new life now. Good luck Everyone
