My fiance was the one that attended the interview, but this is what I gathered from his retelling of the story javascript:emoticon('') He's definitely not as detail-oriented as me, but here goes! hahaha

Got there about quarter to 8 (for nine o'clock appointment). There must have been about 20 people in line already. One security box was just for Americans, the other for visas. He joined the queue and when he got to the front the security guard checked his passport and interview letter. He told them he was there for a fiance visa interview, and the guard flipped the page on his clipboard and checked to see if he was on the list. Went through security and entered the embassy grounds. As there had been a storm, a big tree had fallen over, and the fire brigade had to remove a branch that was hanging over the path. Everyone had to wait until it was taken care of so people were held in queue until then. Then went inside and got number from the reception desk. Number called about 10 minutes later and then gave paperwork to window (passport, police report and copy, birth certificate and copy, divorce certificate and copy, scanned passport photos and gave them back, only asked for I-134, and did his fingerprints). Then went and sat back down. Waited till same number was called about ten minutes later for interview. Everyone seemed to be in a rush because the morning appointments were backed up from the tree preventing people from entering the embassy. American Caucasian guy did interview much to my fiance's relief. He can be rather shy and was very nervous about a women asking him a bunch of questions. The night before he told me he really hoped he would get a male interviewer (lucky him!).
Interview Questions:
*Tell me about you.
*How did you meet Jessie?
*How long have you guys been together? (Explained basic timeline of dates).
*When did you actually visit one another(her visits to England and vice versa)?
*Tell me about your police report (no live trace). Talked about police report. He had two cautions so he just explained what happened. The interviewer mostly wanted to know if I knew which of course I did as I typed up the explanations for him.
*Why do you guys want to get married?
*What does Jessie do for a living?
*Showed photo album and talked about both of our families (siblings, parents, etc).
Then the man said the magical words, "YOU ARE APPROVED!!!!!!" javascript:emoticon('')

One loooooooooong year of paperwork for a ten minute conversation *javascript:emoticon('')sighjavascript:emoticon('')*

I don't think I have ever been more happy in my life! I can't wait for him to arrive so we can spend our forever together javascript:emoticon('')
