My interview was October 29th at 9.00am, so I caught a 5am train from Worcester to London Paddington and arrived at 7.30am. I walked 20 minutes to the Gould pharmacy and dropped off my belongings. I arrived at the embassy at about 8.15am, queued up and was inside and sat down by 8.45am. I was sat around for about an hour and a half until I was called up to Window 1 and was greeted by a friendly British guy who asked me to sign a few papers then asked for my Birth Certificate, Police Certificate, MRV Receipt and I-134 and supporting documents. He then handed me my chest x-ray in a white packet and asked me to take a seat and wait for my number to be called again. An hour passed and I can safely say I was bricking it, I had traveled down alone so had to go through the whole thing alone (very daunting)! I was called up to Window 16 and was greeted by a not so friendly chubby American lady. She handed me back my birth certificate, asked me to sign other forms and then started drilling me with questions; how did you meet? when did things get serious? does he have any siblings, if so what are their names and how old are they? do his parents work? where was he born? when did you meet in person? how much time have you spent together in person? what did he wear the first day you met in person? when do you plan to get married? (after i said in november she blurted out that it was very soon!!) I was taken aback by these, because after reading the other reviews it was made out to be friendly! But this lady was quite stern, after every answer I gave her she tapped into the computer and looked disapprovingly at me! But after the questions she gave me a quick smile and said things look good and that I was approved! I was so shocked as as I thought she was going to deny me LOL! She told me I'd have my passport and documents back in 4-5 days and sent me happily on my way! Overall it was an OK experience, very unnerving if you don't take anybody with you to wait outside, and maybe the lady I saw was just having a bad day haha!
