Just got back from my husband's interview and the process was very painless and quick!

We stayed at the Hotel Le Crystal which was about a 15 minute walk from the Consulate (very nice hotel if you're looking for something a bit more upscale). We left our hotel about 6:30 to head to the Consulate and got there at 6:45. There was one person there already, but they were lined up on the wrong side of the doors so we were first on our side. By the time they unlocked the doors at 7:30, there were about 10 people in line total. We went through security and sat right next to the elevators. The dude came to let us up at about 8 and we stood in the back left of the elevator like everyone says to do. We waited for about 10ish minutes to get our number and were given C1. We waited a few more minutes and then were called to the first window to hand all of our documents in. That part took the longest...I'm not exactly sure how long but it felt like 10-15 minutes, maybe more. We waited about 10 more minutes until we were called to the 2nd window for the interview portion. The woman was very nice and barely asked us anything. She asked when we met, where we met, and where we live. Then she asked my husband if he'd had any police trouble and then typed some things into her computer. She then said she was approving our visa and explained the Loomis process to us. That was it! We were out of the Consulate before 9am!
