Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We had an appointment for 10:35 this morning. We arrived about 10 minutes early but we had to wait an hour to be called since it was really busy (there were at least 70 people waiting).
We went into the officer's room, took the oath and started answering typical questions like "what's your name, DOB, citizenship, address etc). Once we were finished with that, we went through the " Have you ever..." part. After that, he checked his paperwork to make sure he wasn't missing any documents like the marriage certificate, which he didn't, so although we were prepared and had all the originals, we were never asked to show anything. The officer seemed very professional and intimidating at the beginning but he became much more relaxed towards the end of the interview.
Like with the K-1 interview, I was asked how we met, when, where, how many times we visited each other and stuff like that. He then asked general questions about our wedding and wanted to see photos. He seemed pleased. Tip: saying to him that I had visited three times before moving here, made him say: that's very good and positive! So I guess that is something that they appreciate.
I offered to show him the extra photos we had brought with us, with activities and places that happened after the wedding. He appreciated it as well.
He then asked us if we had evidence of living together, bank accounts etc. Since we got our interview appointment only three months after applying, I told him that the only evidence we had was a joint bank account and our gym memberships. He said this was ok and he really seemed pleased when we reviewed our joint bank account ( they really want to see that you and your spouse are leaving in the same place/address).
He said that the evidence was convincing and that he had no reason to believe that we are not married, therefore he wouldn't ask to see our lease apartment agreement, which was awesome because we didn't have it with us since my name it's not in it. Phew.
After that, he said that he would approve us on the spot and started talking about the ROC process for future reference. He took my i-94 off my passport to make sure I wouldn't leave the country anytime before I received my Green card. Apparently they advice against leaving the US while you wait for your Green Card to be delivered.
That was it. By that time, he was much more relaxed and laid back and we even started talking about all the places we want to visit once I get my green card, like Canada since it's close and ended up talking about Canadian Thanksgiving.

Overall it was a fast process, people were polite and made us realize that overloading your case or bringing too much of everything, is not always necessary, since what they really want to make sure, is that couples are actually living together under the same address.
