I was schedule for an interview last October 1,2013 as early as 6:15 am. Day before my interview I checked in at bayview park hotel .The hotel is quite cheap (3,000 php per night) and walking distance going to US embassy Manila .
I woke up as early as 4am and ate some light meals. Re checked my documents and make sure my bags don't have USB/Chargers /SD CArd and gadgets .Went to Embassy as early as 5am and to my surprise the lines sooo long even I went there hour before.
Around 6am I'm already inside the embassy .They will ask your appointment letter (with St.Lukes stamp ) and they will give you 2go Forms.
Security inside is so tight
They will give you your number and wait your number to flash .Number flash random so Better don't go around .
The interview is just 4 steps:
1.Step One
Biometrics
They will asked for you basic question such as your name and birthday .After biometrics they will asked you to sit down and wait for your number to flash
2.Interview by Filipino Consul
(usually they will talk to you in Tagalog and much better if you answer in Tagalog too )
The consul. Return to me my Police clearance and passport picture .He also update my contact information and ask me to sign the form.No need to get nervous cause Pinoy consul will ask basic question about you and you petitioner such as
-name or your petitioner
- About my work and my husband work
-travel history abroad
After that he asked me to sit down answer wait for my number again
3. American Consul
The consul usually have a poker face and not smiling so please try not to get intimidated .
He asked me question about my husband and our marriage such as
- when is you wedding/how long you married
-how many guest on Your wedding
-your husband job and his work address
-how you meet your husband
-what's your husband anniversary gift to you
-he has car/house
-what's your work before you meet Your husband
-how many time Your husband visit here in Phil's
-can he speak Tagalog
-do you leave abroad before ?
-have you apply for USA visa before
Those are the questions I remember the consul asked me. Just be HONEST and really it's soooo easy and no need to be sooo nervous
after he asked for our wedding pictures and my husband affidavit of support he said
"Okay your visa is approved!!!Welcome to USA and enjoy "
Really why he explain to me my rights as USA immigrant I didn't understand what he said cause I'm soooo happy that finally after 11 months or visa journey now we got it.
Just keep on praying and put your trust to God .God plan to prosper us and NOT harm us.
