Well our interview was at 9am and we got to the embassy at 8am. We went straight to line 3 and showed the interview letter to the security lady and she gave us the greeb sticker. We waited maybe about 30 minutes and then we went through security and they told us that we had to go into the immigrant visa line that were in front of windows 1-5. We waited maybe like 15 minutes till it was our turn and we went to window 4 and turned in the medical documents and the lady at window 4 spoke spanish and was nice. She asked my husband a couple if questions such as:
What's your name? Jeisson
Did you come alone? No, with my wife, Elizabeth
Your wife's parents names are Luzdary and Alberto? Yes
What are your parent's names? Ana Lucia and Luis Alberto
Then we waited for like 5 minutes while the lady consul entered some information in the computer. Then she told us to go sit down and wait to be called over the intercom. So we waited about 10 minutes and they called my husband's name and said to go to window 2 and the consul was a very nice american lady who spoke spanish and asked my husband a couple of questions, such as:
What's your name? Jeisson
Who accompanies you to the interview? My wife, Elizabeth
When was the last time she visited you? Well she's been here for 2 months since July
You have a Marine C1/D visa? Yes because I work for Royal Caribbean International Cruiseships
When was the last time you visited the US? The last time I was there was last year in April for a week with my wife before I boarded the cruise ship.
She then told him to sign part two of the DS-230 and said congratulations your visa has been approved! She then gave us some papers with information about DHL and paying the last immigrant visa fee through ELIS. And we left the embassy around 9:30am. And that's it! Happily ever after!!
Oh by the way, when they ask you a question and the answer is a name of a person, make sure you say their whole name, because I know the answer to some of the questions on here are just the first name because I am not about to put all that information out there! Lol!!
