Hi guys,
I had my interview this morning and Alhamdililah my visa has been approved and I have been told to get my passport within next 10 days
Let me share my experience in detail which may be helpful for few; my interview time was 8 o clock and I was there at 7:30, I had bulk of documents in a bag, they told me to keep the bag on counter and shifted all my docs in a shopper, I would advice you all to take your documents in a shopper and not carry the bags.
I then paid Rs. 200 for shuttle services and went to the embassy area through the shuttle, they allotted me a token and than told me to wait, afterwards my bio metrics, than they took my 2 hard pictures, checked my passport - than i paid $240 for my for the k1 visa fees and than finally they told me to wait for the interview.
Interview went really smooth, there was an american CO who was very very nice and was trying to keep all the interviewees on ease, his pattern of questions for all spouse and fiance' visa was same, following were the questions they asked me:
My fiances name
Where he lives
How we met
What he do for living
What do I do
Have I ever been arrested or denied an entry to US
That's it, and than the 3 magical words CONGRATULATIONS, YOUR CASE HAS BEEN APPROVED!
They told me that I will get my passport within 5 to 10 days through American Express. It was a good day and almost all the cases that I witnessed were approved without AP or anything. I must say that the CO today proved as an angel for many
With this, the nightmares are over, thanks to all VJ members for the immense help. I wish luck to all who are waiting on their visas, interview or are in AP.
