We just back from the consulate here in Santo Domino. I'll start by saying that we got approved!. Here's our experience today. We stayed at the Barcelo Santo Domingo. It's about a ten minute walk to the consulate. We got there about 5:00 in the morning, and there was only a few people in the line. We got into line IV (4) and received number 3. At about 6:20, they let us in and directed us to sit in front of the Domex counter. At about 7:15 they called us up to window 17 and lady asked for our forms and told me to pay at the other window. Once she got the forms and after I paid the $80, she told us to have a seat. About 15min later, they called us again. This time it was for her fingerprints. She finished those and we sat down again. Finally, about 30 min later, they called us for the interview at window 25. The man swore us in and started asking some questions.
To her, he asked who I live with, if I was married before, how many kids I have, and their names, if I was married before, what was the name of my ex-wife, who I live with, what college I attend, what kind of work I do, the name of the company I work for, how long I worked there, where I live, how did we meet, when did we meet, how many times I visited, and finally he asked for our pictures and asked where and when they were taken, who were some of the people in the pictures.
To me, he asked the same questions minus a few.
Finally, he looked at her and told her, in spanish, that he will approve the visa. And since it was early in the day, we might be able to pick it up tomorrow (Friday) or Monday, and it could be Tuesday. I'll update my review when we receive the visa. We paid Domex $380 pesos, and we were out of there by 8:30. Everything went smooth. Just for information, there is a small cafeteria inside the consulate. You can buy coffee, soda, sandwiches, and cookies. So if you don't eat breakfast before, you won't starve waiting. There is a restroom inside also, and a place to take last minute passport photos.

Here's the update. We received our visa in hand yesterday, 4 business days after our interview! She picked it up at the Domex office in Santo Domingo. She'll be on the plane to the U.S. tomorrow afternoon!!
