Review Topic: F-2A Visa

My F2A Immigrant visa interview date was 25th August 2013, at 10:30 am. I reached there with my daughter (Ruhani Khan), my mom and my elder brother (Tomal) at 7:45 am. My mother in law and my sister in law went there from their home (Uttara). Own home is in old Dhaka (Gandaria). My wife is my petitioner. She is in USA. She got DV 2009. When she went there she was pregnant of 3 months. My daughter was born in USA at 2010. My wife came back to BD at the same year. And went back to USA alone. I and my daughter stay here. That was my simple history.
Now I'll share my Dhaka US consulate experience.
I entered to the embassy with my daughter at 8:00am. A Bangladeshi lady announced my name to entered the window number 8. I entered there with my daughter. When the pretty women saw me with my daughter, she asked me why my daughter's name was not in my interview appointment latter. I confirmed her that my daughter is already US citizen by birth. She seems that my wife is here in Bangladesh. Then I confirmed her that my wife is not in BD. And I told her my daughter is in BD with me from 2010 to till. The pretty women shocked to hair. She asked me about my daughter's passport, Birth Certificate and Social Security card. I told her that all are with me and showed her. She take a photocopy of my daughter and told me not to worry!! She returned all of my original document which was I submitted to NVC. She also told me that she will talk with the consulate officer to give me a permission to enter the USA. I pray for the pretty women from the depth of my heart.
After some few minutes an English women announced my name to enter the window number 5 to take my finger print. I entered the room also with my daughter.
At 1:30 pm an English man announced my name to enter the window number 9. We (I and my daughter) entered the room. I shocked when he asked me in bangla language
kemon achhen" (how r u).
I: ya, I am fine!!
CO: What's ur name ?
I: answered
CO: Who petitioned for u?
I: answered
CO: Where is she?
When I started to tell him the full address of my wife, he stopped me and
CO: Just the city
I: answered
CO: What is she doing there?
I: answered
CO: Is this ur arrange marriage or love marriage? (with pretty smile)
I: Love marriage
CO: Show me some picture before and after marriage
I: showed
CO: Why is ur baby with u, not in USA?
I: When my baby was born, my wife tried to stay there with my daughter, she went to her office but my daughter was in child home. My daughter was so crying there. Then my wife left the job and after three month they came back to BD. And after 9 months she went to USA back without my daughter but with a broken heart.
CO: What r u doing here?
I: Private service
CO: So, how u take care of her?
I: When I went to my office, my mother take care her. Sometimes she went to my mother in law's home. And she also take care her.
CO: Answered my last Question, Who is came here with u? I mean in the embassy?
I: My mother, my elder brother, my mother in law and my sister in law.
CO: Excellent!! U r happy family!! I eagerly want to issue ur visa, u will collect it tomorrow at 2:30 pm. I hug my daughter and kiss her lot. Then the CO told my daughter " You will go to ur mother very soon baby" with smiling face!!
That was my experience!!!!
The whole conversation was in bangle language.
