She arrived early and because she had a child with her was the first one in, she still had to wait, around nine they gave her a number and a paper to reenter with and told her to go and come back after lunch, around one o'clock in the after noon.

After returning she waited another couple of hours, near 3:00pm she was called to the window, for her interview.

Who started the process for you?

When did you start your relation with your husband?

Was he married when he started relation with you?

How did you meet him?

When did you get married?

what is the date his divorce was final?

What was he doing in Ethiopia?

How long did he stay when he came to see you?

I used to work in Ethiopia 20 days a month and was home in the US 10 days a month, so he asked several questions about when I arrived and when I left Ethiopia, she had a hard time remembering the actual dates I arrived, but knew almost every date I left. She felt it was pretty ify at this point.

He then asked her about how we contact each other, She replied we skype three or four times a day, he raised his eyebrows and said SURE, three or four times a day? (her) Yes three Four times a day. (him) Are you sure, three four times, every day? (her) Yes, I have skype records. she then gave him th whole I-130 application book I had prepared and shipped to her, each month we would print and add the skype records to keep them current. He read through the whole package very thorough and she answered a few questions as he went through it. When he got to the skype records he found that we actually skype more closely to six or seven times every day. he saw the few pictures we had in the book at the back and then told her to wait here.

After a short absence he returned and told her you are approved. We are elated, after a year of trials we will finally be able to be together again.

It seems there are two interviewers, one male and one female, while they both denied some aplicants, the male interviewer seemed to grant a much smaller success rate.

I would suggest you read the guides in the VJ site and follow them to a T. My wife had every bit of information we could find with her at the interview, they didn't ask for much of it but it was with her had she needed it. My biggest suggestion is to be well documented and well prepared (My guess is if you are reading this you are trying to prepare well. Bring all documentation of your phone calls, e-mails, face book messages, skype records etc. let them know you really love eachother and cant go without talking to each other even one day!

Good luck, my heart goes out to those that have been denied, I thank them for sharing there advice and what didn't work for them. We thank GOD for helping us through this trial and may GOD's blessings be on you!
