OK here it goes....
First I want to start off by giving you a little background info about me and my case. I am sure many of you think or thought I had it easy never married, met my fiancé petition approved and visa issued. This is so not the case. I was married back in 2009 to a Colombian citizen who was living "illegally" in the U.S. The same year we were married I petitioned for him 6 months later with the I130 and went through the whole process. Needless to say he was approved and received his 2 year green card. On our third year of marriage 2012 I also petitioned to have his conditions removed and sent the application off with all the required documents and evidence. About 2 months after all hell broke lose in our relationship and in October of 2011 I kicked him out. I won't go into details as to what happen but let’s just say I was left alone with a baby on the way. I called USCIS about a trillion times and since the bastard took everything I didn't have his Alien # which I never really cared to have since he was my husband and I trusted him. USCIS kept telling me there was not much I could do because without that number they are not able to assist anyone. They kept telling me that he will have an interview date sent and if I didn't show they would then know and he would have to explain as to why I’m not there. Guess What? A year later I found out lucky bastard was approved with no interview. Needless to say his conditions were removed and he is now a permanent resident that is going to the Navy and will be a citizen in November. I have no regrets because God has His reasons and I am actually happy for him that he is not another loser immigrant but is actually using the freedom and benefits we have in this country to his advantage. Now to my K1 Case....
After I had my baby I had no intentions to meet no one I mean NO ONE! I didn't want to, I just wanted to be by myself and raise my kids. Well once again God had other plans. I filed for divorce in April (because my lawyer sucked and never turned in the papers we signed in October 2011) I met my Fiancé Elias July 2, 2012 and my divorce became final on July 6, 2012 (4 days after meeting him). We fell in love and I came to see him for the first time in August where we then really fell in love. I was very hesitant on petitioning for him because of my last mistake but I decided to and in October I sent my petition with a lot of doubt but I left it up to God. Fast forward to today. Petition was approved and here crept the interview. By this point I had all kinds of things going through my head even the I134 affidavit of Support since I am still "financially responsible" for my ex as well so I had to include him in the budget. I did how ever have all the evidence in the world so I felt prepared.
The Interview:
I arrived to Santo Domingo on August 3 and went straight to Nagua where we are both from I had to drop off my baby who went with me. That night we hung out a little and were tempted to go out but we knew we had to wake up early and dedicate our Sunday to God. The next morning we woke up at 8am and took the bus to the capital. We went straight to my church that is also located here in DR (I'm still here now lol) and after church went to our Hotel the infamous Jardines del Teatro. That day we spent it with each other just being in love and enjoying eachothers company. We went to the malecon that was 5 blocks away and even ate at Pizza Hut which made my Fiance soooo sick. LOL. That night we fell asleep early with so much faith because God had made His promise and were content with whatever decision he made. We woke up a 5am and I told my Fiance’ my dream that I was hanging on a counter top in front of a lady who was taking our money and I looked at my watch and the time said 1:10pm. My Fiance laughed and asked was I approved I said I don’t know it was just the time I remember looking at. After we talked and prayed again we got ready and took our 1 minute and 30 sec walk to the consul, as we got close some CRAZY lady (buscones in full effect!) came up to me talking about Mami, mami, si tu cita es alas 7am parate aki. We just kept walking and I told her my appt was in Japan not to worry. My Fiance looked at me with a smile. The line was huge but I was fine drinking my RicaChoco and eating my Dino cookies the freza ones! LMAO. We were in line by 6:30am and in the consul by 7:00am and given number 74. We sat down on the benches and it was hotter than 2 balls in a pair of Speedos in that place. At 7:30am we were called to window 19 where we were to turn in on forms. I asked the nice young man which ones ( I didn't want to turn in the I134 because I was afraid they would count my ex and I barley made enough for my kids and fiancé and I have no sponsor) The man went on and said "Tu sabes muy bien cuales son" and I said "si pero kiero estar segura que la tengo todas aki." He looked at me smiled and said DS230 part 1 DS 156 only one copy he gave me the other one back and DS156k, Fiance’s passport, Birth Certificate and Police Report of Good Behavior. I quickly handed them to him and we sat down. We were happy because the affidavit was not asked for until we heard his name on he PA system to return to Window 18! When we got up I prayed but it was only God still doing work I forgot to have my Fiancé sign the DS 230 so he had him sign it and we sat down again! lol. At 8:30 we were called for finger prints and sat down again. At 9:15pm our number 74 was called to Window 25 for the interview. We wore sworn in and here came the questions:
To Elias:
Your name:
DOB:

When did you meet? July 2 2012 Has she been married? Yes
Does she have kids? Yes
How many and the names and dob!?! Julian and Isaac etc

Then to me:
Let me see your passport (he studied the dates I visited!)
Do you have pictures? (I made a little scrap book with sheet protectors and some nice basic paper that fit right in the window) He studied EACH AND EVERY PICTURE! lol while he was looking at the pictures I was looking at my file that was in a red folder with NO GREEN ticket also question 11 on the I129-f where it asks if I had ever petitioned for an ex or fiancé was circled big in RED!!I was like great that sucks! :/ Then he pointed to a picture of Elias with my son and asked me who that was? I answered my son Julian. He asked “he came with you?” and I said no he has been here for 2 months with him and my mom spending summer break. He answered “interesting!” lol
He gave me the pictures had Elias write my name on one of the forms and said "ok please take a seat your interview will continue later, you will hear your name not your number." We sat down and starting sweating bullets. I said “Amor, we are going to window 13 Fraud just to let you know.” He said “That’s fine we have God nothing will defeat us lets just pray he sends an angel to interview us instead! So we did. We sat for a while and the rooms started clearing, we couldn't help but stare at ALL the people getting approved and paying Domex but we kept strong sometimes I cried and we prayed at times I would get nervous and we would just pray again. At around 11:00am we get called to window 13 Fraud Prevention! lol I knew it. This time it was an office with AC! I was told to be seated in a waiting room and the CO took Elias into a room and stayed with him for about 15 minutes, at this point I was just glad to be in some AC!! Then Elias came out woke me up from my cat nap and I went in. I sat down and the CO started asking questions. I can't remember all of them but here are the ones I do...

After I answered all of that he said ok Natalia now the real question
How did you marry in 2009 petition for that guy and then divorce have a baby and no petition for Daniel. Well to make a long story short with ALOT of confidence and told him exactly what you read above and how we were in love but the marriage failed and I petitioned for Elias with faith that it was from God. He looked at me and said ok please have a seat back outside you will be called by the same consul in window 25 and if he asks you this question about your ex please answer him just like you did me. My Fiancé and I went back to the benches and started comparing questions we answered each and everyone of them the same and we were then full of confidence all the stress went away. We were laughing and playing around making fun of weird people etc. There was no denying us now God was totally with us and proved it. The room at that point was almost empty only we and 2 other couples that were also in fraud remained but these people looked like death. They weren't even hugging each other or nothing they certainly looked like they belonged in fraud and definitely had faces like they did not want to be there but who was I to judge? I was just happy we got through everything. The time passed on and all the CO’s were going to lunch my Fiancé said “Look at the time I don’t think your dream is coming true.” It was around 1:00pm. I answered and said “Its fine they close at four we can’t be here longer than that.” Around 1:07pm we were finally called back to window 25 where we met the gringo CO again and I joked with him about the ac and we both laughed. He looked at us and said "ok Les voy aprovar su visa!" We didn't let him finish my Fiancé dug his head in my neck and hugged me we both cried like babies he asked the CO for a minute to gather ourselves and when we were done being dramatic we looked at the CO who was now tomato red with a smile from ear to ear and he said "you have to let me finish you will need to marry with in 90 days of poe." We were like that’s fine lol! We ran out and paid domex and when I looked at my watch it was 1:10om and my fiancé and I smiled and praised God.
I never told anyone on VJ my story before today because I have read all types of reviews and have seen things like crazy CO's and even crazier interviews so I was avoiding negative comments, but I am now sharing my story because I'm not the only one who has petitioned for someone before and for those who have if you believe in God and you let Him guide you there is no way you will fail these types of situations. Dee and Frances knew all this and I can't thank those girls enough for lifting me up those days I was down and afraid. Te amo mi mujeres! Thank you VJ so much for sharing your storied and experiences because I have learned so much.
As for the Visa? Yes it was issued on August 8 and my husband just picked it up at Domex today in Santiago! Thank you Jesus!!!
