Review Topic: K1 Visa

I had my K1 visa interview on the 30th of July. I read lots of these reviews before my interview and found them to be very helpful and accurate.
I would like to share my recent experience as there are a few details that have changed.

Once arriving inside the embassy I was greeted by the receptionist who took me through to the main room and informed me that the computers are down and that I would be called by name for my interview.
I am aware that they are changing over their computer system at this time, so it was probably something to do with that.
There were only thirty or so people in the waiting room. My appointment was for 9am.
At 10:30 I still had not been called, and almost everyone was waiting for their second interview.
Luckily I noticed two other people who had been waiting and not called, i asked them and they were also waiting for the first K1 interview. Another person who was also there for an immigrant visa informed us that we should go when they call the next available window. They were calling "next person please", so it was on the honour system. I had watched everyone there have their 1st interview, so at the next call I went to window 1 and explained my situation. It was no problem, the interviewer apologised for the confusion and went to get my file. I was then call by name 10 minutes later for the second interview.
The questions were no different from what others have posted. My second interview was with a young bearded man, who was very nice and conducted the questions in a very chatty manor.
The other thing that has recently changed is the courier service. I was asked for my email and phone number at the 1st interview. I thought it strange I didn't get the pink slip. What happens now is that the courier will contact us by phone (maybe email) and we pay and arrange with them for delivery of our visa and documents. I hope these new additions to the process will be useful for future interviews.
My advice would be to triple check your documents are in order and you have copies. Be calm and relaxed, it's going to be ok, as long as your 1st interview went well and you have the documents in order, everything will be ok
Good luck to all!
