I'm not usually one for writing reviews but i was frantically reading over ofher peoples before i went to my interview that i thought it only fair to write my own.

The interview process was very smooth and the staff at the embassy were nothing but professional and friendly people. I was asked a few general questions about our relationship; how we met, how it progressed, and had I met his family. It was all over in a matter of minutes - the first phase during which you hand all paperwork over and finger prints are taken took much longer (around 15 mins). As a lot of people say it all felt more like a chat than an interview, and provided you go with all your paperwork in order they really do only seem interested in hearing a bit about your relationahip and getting you to sign the oath.

The only stressful part of the experience for me was all the waiting - July must be a very popular time of year for visa applicants as I spent 4 hours in the very hot embassy with hundreds of other people. They were mostly non immigrant cases but still there were a lof of people in one room, so pay attention to the screen and watch out for your number. If you are having your interview soon, my advice would also be therefore to get to the embassy at least 30 minutes before your appointment (as the embassy itself advises) because the line outside gets very long and you do not want to risk being late. I arrived 45 mins before my appointment and made it inside on time.
