I had a very good experience with my medical exam and interview

I had my medical exam on Monday morning with dr. Cheema. When I got there, the nurse took my letter with my name and case number on it, my passport and my vaccination records, and filled out the form. Asked me a few questions and then I sat down and waited to be called. A nurse took my weight and height and then dr cheema came in and performed the rest of the exam. He checks your vision, blood pressure, eyes, throat, checks for lumps on your stomach and lower stomach area and that's pretty much it. He also used to work in winnipeg (which is where I'm from) so he was super nice to me then they send you down the street for blood work and x-rays and then you're done. Takes only about an hour. Then you go pick up the results the next day

The morning of my interview, I arrived about 25 mins early. There are people outside the consulate that check your passport and then give you a ticket for window B. you get checked by security before you go in, and then again more thoroughly inside. They take you up to the 20th floor and you go directly to window B and flick the switch and someone comes and helps you. This person collects all your forms, birth certificate, police certificate etc ( make sure you have copies of everything) then they give you a number and you go back and wait with everybody else. After about an hour of waiting I was called up. The man doing our interview was pretty nice. He looked through our file, then asked us how we met, the date we met, how we went from meeting to engaged, what my fiancé did for a living, asked us to explain his job (because he worked for homeland security, he was just interested), asked where my fiancé was born, where he grew up, and if we had any wedding plans. Then he looked through the forms again and told us we were approved he was very nice, seemed genuinely happy for us when we told him about how we met and our relationship. After that we sit down again and wait for my name to be called. Go back up to window b where they congratulate you and double check where the visa is being sent and that's it you're free to go I will have my visa within the week it is very easy and it was months of stressing for a 10 mins interview. Just be prepared with your forms and everything will be fine
