Hello everyone! My entire process within the consulate took a little less than an hour.
We got there around 6:20am and there were already two people ahead of us BUT they lined up on the wrong side of the doors. One didn't even know about Loomis! To make it worse, he even used a lawyer who never told him about it either. When it was time for us to head in, he was sent away to get a physical copy of his Loomis.
Up until 7:30am, there were two lines at the doors. My husband and I were the first in line on the left but we let the mother and son who were there before us go ahead of us since they lined up on the right. When the security guard came out he asked everyone on the right to move to the end of the line on the left. We were the second ones to go in. Went thru security quickly and down the stairs. We sat exactly where Saylin sat, at probably 8:05-10, a security guard came down and let us into the elevator. We stood in the left corner that Saylin had circled in her picture too. Once at the 19th floor, we made an immediate left to window 14/15A and were first in line and waited for what felt like 10 min. I got the infamous C1!!!
Within a minute of sitting and waiting, we were called to Window 1 and greeted by a very nice lady. She took my original Long Form BC, Marriage Certificate, Physical exam, all the original I-864s and I-864A we scanned for EP and my passport. She confirmed some information on my BC and we proceeded with the fingerprints. She gave me back the CD that came with the medical. I think she could sense that I was very nervous as she told me to relax heh
By the time we were done with the her it was 8:39am. We were called to Window 10 after 2 minutes of waiting. The gentleman there was very nice. He swore me in and checked my fingerprints. We had to do it again as apparently there were some problems. He asked when we met, what my husband's occupation is, where we plan on staying. He didnt need to see any photos. He did ask to see our residential lease if we had one, which we did. He kept that and gave me back my marriage certificate and long form birth certificate. He put everything back into my file, bent down, pulled out a paper and said "Congratulations" and that's all I heard. I kept nodding to everything else he said but all that was running through my head was "congratulations"!!!!! Even the guard on our way out asked if we had good news heheh
It took under an hour to get it all done and receive my approval!
As long as you follow Saylin's guide to the T, you will be fine.
