Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We arrived 30 minutes prior to our scheduled appointment. After waiting a bit, our names were called.

After walking into the officer's office, we were sworn in. The officer asked my husband the yes/no questions from the I-485. From there, she asked us about how we met, when we decided to start the process, when we were married, etc.

She asked if we had any information we'd like to add to our file. Well, I came prepared with a ton of paperwork and was happy to hand off most of it! Copies of our bank statements, phone bills, insurance verification, lease for our home, and a few more photos taken since our wedding.

The officer approved my husband's adjustment of status and then informed him about the removal of conditions process.

In all, the interview took about 20 minutes.
