The place was pretty easy to find--from the other reviews we were expecting something much different. The officers were very helpful while going through security and they were good at trying to lighten everyone up, since most of us were pretty nervous. Security is exactly like at an airport--be prepared to take off your shoes and belts.
Went into the interview waiting room, which was pretty empty. Went to our window, turned in our appointment letter and waited for maybe 20 mins. We were called back by a very nice woman who seemed to find my husband's jumpy nervousness pretty entertaining. She took us to her office, reminded us the interview was completely voluntary and that we could leave at any time, swore us in, and began with simple questions. She began with me (the USC): full name, DOB, SSN, address, time at address, etc. Then on to my husband, who was so nervous to do the interview in English that he messed up his birth year (made himself 15 lol) and our zip code, but she was very laid back and understanding and we all got a chuckle out of his birth year mix up... that actually helped us relax.
Had him tell the story of how we met, and he got another laugh out of her. Asked me why I hadn't put him on my medical insurance through work and I explained that it would cost me $600/mo, that he had temporary coverage, and that I was trying to move both my husband and my daughter onto a different plan.
She got a phone call from someone waiting for her for lunch, she told the person she was almost done, and approved us. Took all of about 10 minutes and was very pleasant over all. We talked on the way out about how the anticipation was the worst and how she wasn't scary at all lol Couldn't have asked for anything better, really!
