Our interview was pretty easy. But I think that was mostly because we had been to the embassy together four times before our actual interview date. Our file went into some kind of 'extra security check' before leaving NVC and it really threw a wrench into our lives because my fiancee (now wife) was pregnant at the time. I flew to Jakarta 3 times and we went to the consulate to do whatever we could to move things forward. It didn't do any good as far as getting the ball rolling and we ended up having our son in Singapore and then having our interview after he was born. We showed up at the interview with our newborn son (which goes a long way to proving a legitmate relationship ) and by that time I had so many stamps in my passport and we knew a couple of the consulate employees on a first name basis. We had never seen the guy that did our actual interview, but I got the feeling he'd been told about us because he didn't ask to see a single shred of proof (photos, letters, etc.) and the only questions he asked us were those that concerned A#'s and DOB's etc. They actually processed my wife's visa a day earlier than usual.
