After leaving home at 5:30 I arrived at the embassy at about 6:50 and there was already someone else waiting there. By 7:15 the queue was getting to about 20-30 people. I walked back to Goulds and dropped of my phone and keys (its so easy) and headed back to the embassy.

Everyone in the queue was really friendly and that made the time fly past. Shortly before going through security a woman came along checking everyone's appointment letters. When I arrived at the main building I was issued with my number and I headed upstairs to the main waiting area. Like everyone says, its like a bank with lots of cashiers kiosks.

I was called up to kiosk 1 after about 10 mins. I was greeted by the Asian lady that everyone talks of. She speaks very quietly so was not easy to understand. She checked all my paperwork and only needed my fiancee's letter from her employer and paystubs for the affidavit of support. She asked when I was planning on flying and I said as soon as I can. She handed me a pink piece of paper for the courier and told me to wait to take a seat and wait to be called.

I was called up in what felt like about 20-30 mins. I say an African American lady. She was really pleasant and helpful. She asked how we got together, when did we first met in person and how we stayed in contact. She asked a few questions regarding the names and ages of my fiancee's daughters and all went well. She took my fingerprints and the said "your visa has been approved".

Suddenly it felt like a massive weight had been lifted of my shoulders. The feeling is just so good that I can't describe it javascript:emoticon('')

All in all it was no were near as stressful as I thought it would be. For those yet to have their interview, don't worry its not that bad. Just make sure all your paperwork correct.
