I had my interview January 28, 2013 (7:30AM)

5:40AM - Me and my fiancee arrived at USEM. There were so many people outside falling in line already. Too many vendors too being helpful but don't trust everything they say.

6:30AM - The embassy staff let us in. In the entrance, there were two lines, immigrants, and non-immigrants such as tourists. We were in the immigrant line. Don't bring any gadgets or USB's. The staff in entrance asked for the PASSPORT, 1ST PAGE OF APPOINTMENT LETTER, DS 156,157,156K (2 copies each). He put the passport in a zip lock bag, and staple the appointment letter and DS forms altogether. He then return the passport and stapled forms to me with a 4 digit number printed in a small paper and also attached to a list of forms you need to prepare for the interview(It has become my number all through out the process) NEVER LOSE THE #.

7:30M - We went to DOOR 2, security check done. We enter another door. I saw 2 windows where people fall in line after the security check. The entrance staff wrote #1 in my appointment letter. So i went to window #1. The lady told me to drop my DS forms, and passport. She kept the Forms but gave me back my passport and told me to wait inside and look at the screen for my number, and what window i am supposed to go next for fingerscanning.

9AM: My number flashed with the window number (42) on the side and i went inside. There is another security check before you can really get inside. I went to window 42. Fingers scanning done. I was told to sit down and wait for my number to flash again.

11AM: My number flashed with the window #. I went to the window and was interviewed by a nice Filipino consul. He scanned my DS forms (the thing i dropped in window 1). He had it detached and asked me to sign something on the DS forms. He asked me to drop my ORIGINAL NBI CLEARANCE, NSO, CENOMAR, AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT, TAX RETURNS W2, Pay stubs, employer letter, BPI receipt. he gave me back other tax returns and w2 of 2009 and 2010. he said he just need the 2011. He also return my 2012 W2. He asked my name and the date me and my fiancee first met. He asked my fiancee his name. He asked for pics, and told me to show it to the american consul too. THAT'S IT. he told us to sit down and wait for our number to flash again.

12PM: windows are closed. LUNCHBREAK. so we went outside and eat.

1PM: visa processing resumes.

1:30PM: my number flashed. me and my fiancee went to the american consul. The consul is nice. He asked us to raise our hands and promise honesty during the interview. He gave me a pamphlet about domestic violence. His questions are as follows:
what is your name?
how did you meet your fiancee?
how did he propose?
have you been married before?

His questions to my fiancee are:
what is your name?
what is your job?
do you have kids?
have you been married before?

THAT'S IT! he told us we are approved and wait for my name to be called again.

2PM: my name was called. I went to the 2GO window. The lady said i can now go home and wait for their call as to when i can pick the visa.

Thank God we passed the interview Me and my fiancee will be together very very soon javascript:emoticon('')
