I'm so happy its over.Its been a long journey for my husband and I.Becos in october 2011 our K-1 visa was sent back ,becos we had few pictures .We got married in feb 2012 and filed in june.We got approved so quick and got a date immediately.Well,I went for my interview on the 15th of jan 2013(7.00am).I got to the embassy at 6:15 am,was asked to join the 6:30am line becos i was the only one standing there on the immigrant line for 7:00am.Was asked to open my medical result's envelop befor going in, and join the queue inside.Showed my appointment letter to the lady and then sat down for awhile.immediately I came accross a notice "LIQUIDS ARE NOT ALLOWED".I had to quicky empty my water bottle ,to avoid been sent back .Five of us were called and searched.The guards and I laughed at my "BIG BAG" and then they wished me luck.The five of us were escorted into another building,got searched again and finally got into the main building.Inside the main building I was searched again and got a number .Then I entered the interview waiting room.20mins later my name was called by a black male.We exchanged greetings he asked for my medical result,photocopy of marriage certificate ,the blue and white piece of paper given to me at the gate and also the number I got from the Guard.My husband submitted both photocopies and original documents police clearances and birth certificate.I went back to my standing point(no sits,its was crowded) after he was done with me.I stood there paying attention ,trying not to get distracted or feel uncomfortable.And also I tried as much as I can to avoid looking at my time.Later on,One young white male CO came out.Called a number,within 5mins he approved her.Everyone was happy.he approved two more visas .Another young white female came out ,and then finally a white middle age female CO came out.The male CO approved more people than the rest two.I was standing for almost an hour and half until sum lady offered to share her sit with me.I sat down looking and watching everyone.Until 11:45am ,the young female CO called my name.I stood up,took my time and walked upto her window.

CO:where did your traditional marriage take place?
ME:my father's compund,at the village.
CO:who introduced you to him.
ME:my mom.
CO:what kind of medicine does he prescribe to people?
ME:medicine abc.
CO:so he is specialised in abc course?
ME:yes.
CO:what year will he finish?
ME:date abc.
CO:when did he graduate from school?
ME:date abc.
CO:what do you both have in common?
ME:we luv to treat people right and hate discrimination
CO:was your K-1 visa interview done in london?
Me:no,here
CO:your husband filed for you?
ME:yes
CO:how come you did not get it?
ME:i came here with few picture,not upto 10.
CO:Tel me about the state your husband lives in
Me:medium size city,very cold and close to canada.
CO:how come you lived in india for so long?
ME:Becos I was living with my parents,my family lived there.
CO:seems you lived in london as well.
ME:yes.
CO:ok,who and who are these people in this picture.
ME:my sister inlaw,my wife mate,my husband's uncle and my husband first niece.
CO:do you have any phone logs or chat?
ME:yes
CO:ok,I can see your husband calls alot,please have them back.and all your original documents.take this letter and pick up your visa next week from this address.
ME:thank you.

With 5mins i was done with the interview.wat a relief.Felt like it was a dream.My husband and I are sooooooo happy.And thanks to those who took out time to write their experience with the embassy on here.its nice.Becos I neva knew the lil detail about my husband's job will be asked.my advice on here is prepare,prepare and prepare.prepare yourself,get to know each and every details. go through all your documents.and have lots of patience becos the waiting time,is really annoying.ALL THE BEST!
