A very smooth experience over all. I had my interview on Dec. 12th at 1.30 pm. I arrived at the consulate at 1.15 pm and there were some people waiting but those of us with interview letters were let in first. We got our ID and our bags checked and we were scanned with a metal detector. At a 2nd security check we had to leave our cellphone and other electronics in a locker room. We then formed a line in front of a window where a nice lady took my payment receipt, birth cert (she checked the original and kept the copy i' brought), spanish police cert, passport, photos, and affidavit of support and asked me to sit and wait. I was called about 10-15 mins later to another window where a super nice guy told me my papers were all perfect, and when he saw i was born and raised in Spain, told me how much he loves Andalucia and proceeded to interview me in almost perfect spanish! I say interview but it was more a conversation about the place i grew up. He then asked how long ago I met Tim, when's the last time i've seen him, and what does he do for a living. He took my fingerprints and then I had to raise my right hand and swear all i had stated in the paperwork was true to the best of my knowledge. And that was it! He said the visa was aproved and they would send it along with the brown envelope in less than a week.He also explained the whole: need to get married in 3 months, then do AOS, don't leave the country til you get your Green card, etc... All in all a very easy, smooth experience. Everyone was really nice and even in my communications bfore the interview they were extremely fast at replying to any queries.
