Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Interview went very quickly, no more than fifteen minutes at the most. It was a simple "what's the other's birthday, where was the other born, what's your anniversary?" and that was it for questioning. The IO, Matt, was very friendly and laid back through the whole affair, dropping jokes when confirming my wife's answers on the I-485: "have you ever bought a weapon, used a weapon or threatened anyone except your husband with a weapon?" Compared to the volumes of evidence of bona fides I've seen some people present with their application, ours was fairly minimal: just a selection of pictures, our insurance policies and copies of passport entry/exit stamps from visits to each other, and there was no problem with that. After this quick and informal interview, he informed us he was going to approve our permanent residency application, and to expect the green card in the mail in a couple weeks. Since we received EAD/AP card the day before the interview, now I guess it's time to start bugging my wife about getting a job
