I thought I'd share my experience as I personally found reading the reviews really helped me prior to my interview.

So I arrived at 7.15am for my 8am appointment. At this point there was a large crowd gathering patiently outside. At approx 7.30 we started being called four at a time inside the security office. At this point our passports, MRV receipts and appointment confirmation letter were being checked. If you are wearing watches belts etc you just take these off whilst you walk through the scanner.

Once inside the building I got my number and sat down patiently. Looking around and taking a moment to see there is an opportunity for all those people who forgot passport photos to have these done, there is a passport photo machine available. I was called to window 13, I know unlucky right, to see an unfriendly black lady. Maybe I was her first one of the morning, but didn't make me feel at ease at all. All he standard routine stuff of handing over passport, birth certificate, police record etc.

I then sat down and waited about 50mins before I was called to window 15, walking to this man I knew this was the moment of truth.

He began by making swear the oath and took my finger prints again. I then signed my name and printed my fiancées on part two in front of him. We then got down to questions, I had a dry rough, was very nervous he could tell.

Where did we meet?
Describe the encounter in this central london bar, who were you out with, who was she with, how did you get her phone number ?
Where did you go on your first date ?
How did the relationship progress?
When did she return to America ? May 2011
When did you first visit her ?
Then returned to she she returned and said so you said mark she went backin June, is this correct ? I was expecting to be tricked.
Listen carefully
What was she studying?
What do you love about her ?
Wen do you plan on going ?

More questions then what I was expecting.

He then congratulations I'm approving our visa today

Wow the relief of heating those words

My advice

Have everything organised. The amount of people I saw carrying a plastic folder, papers all over the place, for the price of 40p I got dividers in tesco to use. People wee struggling to find confirmation letters even passports outside.

Do not take phones, people were yet again being directed to goulds pharmacy.

Take the evidence, Skype calls etc. I wasn't asked for anything but be prepared to have this just in case.

A debit or credit card to pay the courier. A lot had American Express or cash only, clearly states on the website this will not be accepted.

Get there early.

Overall a fairly pleasant experience which was successful.

Here's to the next step.

Thanks to everyone
