El Salvador Embassy= Nightmare!
I am writing this review on behalf of a cousin that just went through the process of an F-2A visa in El Salvador; "Let me start by saying that I feel sorry for the people that are currently waiting for a visa or on interview appointment in El Salvador, this embassy is a nightmare, the people that work there are inefficient and incompetent, it seems like they don't know what they are doing or how to do their work. I had to go through 4 interviews and spent hundreds of dollars in phone calls to get my visa,I could not believe it. First interview, I was missing a document, second interview; the translations were not correct, could of have told me this in the first interview. Third interview, the documents were too old, past the 30 days allowed. Fourth interview, finally got my visa approval, after more than a year of waiting and going through interviews.
What a bureaucracy! this is not correct, the embassy in El Salvador needs a complete revamping and put people in place that know what they are doing. My advice to you is to be prepared with all the documents and make sure they are all recent and up-to-date and of course, have a lot of patience
