ok soo our visa was not denied but not approved. Our case is being reviewd and another interview resheduled. The officer was an American female officer. She took 1 1/2 with my fiancee. She had nothing to say about the actual proof of the file, Infact she insisted we had an lawyer put it together, which we didn't. My fiancee felt like she was looking for something wrong, she would ask a question and he would answer, then she would go back and flip pages and ask another question, evertime he had an answer for her. Finally, she decided to harp on "is he sure I'm not still in a relationship with my 8 year old sons father" How does he know for sure" asking questions about him. where he lives, not state, but actually address, what he does, and etc. hell i don't even know his address,we are not in contact. This sucks, because one, your supposed to only have proof of legal marriages being dissolved. How do you prove your not sleeping with someone?? Only a death certificate would prove it impossible.
Next, she hassled him about two pics we took in July,2012 at the Embassy in Lagos . We went there for my fiance to see where it is located (he does not live in lagos).We walked around he ask some questions, like where to stand and wait, and how long people had been waiting. Then we went to the back and took picks at the river bank. She was upset with that, she kept the photos, she said"why did you take these pics ...It makes no sense to come here and take them. WTF! I wanted them as a keep sake, since I knew I was not going to be there for his interview.
Finally she drilled him on why I didn't take the job overseas(how he and I meet). See I was looking to make more pay in teaching and the job came up. but after a month my present job, recieved and opprotunity to particapate in a Federal program and they chose me to head it. So I got a raise and promotion. So I stayed put ..She asked him over and over"why didn't she leave, why didn't she take the position.. how was he to answer, other than I got a better pay and postion.
So since she didn't have actual proof, because if she did she would deny it and have to show proof on why? The are trying to send it back to the NVC to have it reviewed, I'm trying to get it rescheduled now.. before they send it back.
So that's all I can share.. I guess being over prepared can be a bad thing too.
