I am sorry if i wasn't able to post this on the day of my interview, i am still out of myself yesterday couldn't believe i was APPROVED! The phrase "God is Good" is an under statement, HE IS GREAT and ALMIGHTY! I don't think me and my husband can do this without his help.. not to mention a whole bunch of his and my family praying for our approval and considered our interview day as our big day.
Our visa application is very complicated because of the legal issues i have, it even took 35-40 minutes for my interview with the american officer. She grilled me and let me explain the facts and circumstances of my legal impediments. She was so serious looking, not even smiling so that's just got me real scared. I was really ready to hear from her " Sorry your visa is disapproved" when she looked at me and told me " The US embassy doesn't have problem with you and your paper-works looks good.. so i am issuing u and ur son a visa". I was stunned and asked her again if i heard her right
You know that moment when you have too much anxiety, nerves and happiness in a day.. u couldn't express ur self becuz it overwhelms you, that's how i felt yesterday. But now i feel very happy and excited.
I was at the US embassy a little after 5am for my 6.15am interview, I am not even surprised seeing about a hundred people waiting in line already. at 6am line starts to move and by about 7am we are already in the building. Our number was called 3times for finger scanning, interview with the filipino officer, then interview with the american consul. Oh we wer called again at window 72 for final instructions then went to window 69 to drop off our 2go delivery forms. I am glad everyone der is very nice and helpful it makes you atleast feel calm.
For those people who are still waiting for their visa completion, interview dates or even those that are just starting their visa applications here are some tips:
1. BE HONEST and dont hide any vital information from the US govt. Believe me they will find out and if they do it will greatly affect your application.
2. BE PREPARED Bring every documents you have that you think they will need even its not on the appointment's letter they gave you.\
4. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. THere are just some people hu arent good at ff instructions. I am still surprised no matter how many warning the US embassy gave us about wat to bring and not to bring at the interview, i still saw some people bringing electronic gadgets at the interview and having problems entering the embassy. It was just sad to look at.
3. READ and ASK. Being here in VJ will help u alot, i f u wana know more about the visa process keep reading the post and forums. Dont hesitate to ask any questions u may have.
4. Last but not the least. PRAY. GOD IS GREAT> He will give u wat u deserve.
Thank u VJ for being such a big help. KEEP HELPING PEOPLE.
Now i am so excited to be with my husband agen and spend the rest of our lives together.
CHEERS!
