We arrived at the Consulte at 630am and we were the 2nd people in line. At about 7 o'clock is when we were joined by another, and it seemed to be a steady stream up to the time the doors opened. Please note that even though the time on the door says 8 o'clock, they open their doors at 730am and allow people to come in and wait until the consulte elevator opens at 8 o'clock. We originally lined up on the right side, but once the officer started unlocking the door he instructed us to line up on the left.
The allow one person in at a time, ask for your interview letter and put a sticker on your passport. From there you go through security. NOTE: Do not bring any large bags or purses. We both had our wallets and passports + our K-1 stuff. Nothing else. Leave everything you can at your hotel, there were many people that were turned away because of this.
Once through security, you walk down some stairs to the elevator. Sit as close as you can to the door and once it opens stand at the back of the elevator (it opens from the back). Even though we weren't the first persons in the building we were the first people in the elevator and the first to receive our number.
You walk out of the elevator and walk to the left where you'll wait at a window to receive your number. We waited for a moment or 2 and our number was called where we walked to another window and started handing over our documents.(Medical, police, support, letter). All was good and we waited maybe 10 minutes to be called into a room for our interview. The gentleman was very nice, we were sworn in and he started asking us some general questions about how we met. I'd say this process didn't last more than 5 mins and we were approved.
All in all our total time at the consulte no including the wait outside was maybe 45mins. It is a FIRST come FIRST serve basis. Get there early
