Rating: | Review Topic: Adjustment of Status
We arrived a few minutes early. Big burly guy at the scanner asked "I" what he was here for and he responded "to adjust my situation". Many people in room, so thought we'd be waiting a while, but were called within 10 minutes. The interviewer met us at the entrance to the offices, walked us to the very last one. We swore in, then she asked "I" questions about himself, and a series of questions that were listed on the application concerning whether he would commit an act of terrorism or try to overthrow the U.S. Government, ever committed murder, etcetera. Then asked him my name, my birth date, and what I like to do for fun. Then she asked me what he likes to do for fun and whether I met his family. Asked if we had any supporting documents we wanted to submit, for which I submitted a few and she said she believes she has all the documents she needs. Then she said he would get his green card in 7 to 10 days and could apply for citizenship in three years from now. Was surprised to find it very pleasant and brief.
