I arrived at the Consulate at 7:00 a.m. and was fourth in line outside. At 7:30 a guard came and opened the doors. He told the couple who were second in line that their bags were too big and that they'd have to bring them back to their hotel. I really felt bad for them as the guard wasn't sympathetic at all. He checked my letter and passport and let me inside. Another person inside checked my letter, passport and asked to see proof that I registered for Loomis courier service. I showed him proof of registration and he crossed my name off his list and attached a label to my passport. I then went through security (just as you would do at the airport). I was then directed to walk downstairs to a waiting room. I sat close to the elevator. At 8 a.m. a guard came down and opened the elevator doors. I went straight to the back of the elevator and when the door opened on the 19th floor I was the 3rd one out and thus got ticket # C3. Approximately 5 minutes later I was called to Window 3 where I gave the lady my medical results, did my fingerprints and verified all my information with her (my address, my husband's address, date of marriage, etc.). That took 10 minutes. I went and sat down and approximately 15 minutes later I was called to a different interview for my interview. The gentleman who did my interview was very friendly and it took approximately 10 minutes. He approved it and gave me my letter. I was out the door by 9:00 a.m. All in all a pleasant experience.
