Review Topic: K1 Visa

Kai spent the night before in Bangkok near a sky train station and planned to walk or take a cab from the stop nearest the embassy. She was carrying 5+ lbs. of documents and decided to take a cab from the hotel.
She arrived at 6:15 a.m. For her 7 o'clock appointment. There were about 30 people already in line. Near 7 a.m., the lady in the pink shirt came out to find the K-1 applicants and to bring into the embassy. She was assigned a number two for interview. She waited about an hour and then met with a nice Thai lady at the dreaded window 6. She was asked to fill out a new address sheet and go to a nearby post office located in an embassy building. She paid 350 baht and brought a box for express mail delivery of her passport and new visa.
After turning over her documents at window 6 she went to window 5 for the interview with an American male who spoke very good Thai. Kai had practiced interview questions over and over to be able to ask for an English language interview. She felt applicants were somehow at an advantage choosing English.
According to Kai's memory, these were some of the questions she was asked.
1. Is your fiancée _ _ _ _ _ _?
2. How did we meet?
3. How did we contact each other?
4. What kind of job that allowed him to come to see you so many times?
5. Why didn't he go visit his relatives instead on some of these trips?
6. Where does his Ex live?
7. He asked about some pictures we had taken in Macau. We're we already married?
8. Somewhat uncomfortable was when he asked Kai why did I contact her when I was still legally married?
9. How many times has he come to Thailand? How, is he still working?
10. He asked about my son and daughter and their circumstance.
He had warned her to always tell the truth which she did inspire of it being at times uncomfortable .
They took her fingerprints and said her passport / visa would be sent to her on Monday, her interview was on Thursday.
She was so relieved and excited and said thank you so many times. She was ecstatic and felt a current running through body!
There were five k-1 visa applicants including Kai but she only spoke with one other girl who she called the next day, was rejected and apparently didn't have much support for proof of relationship. Her boyfriend who is in the military, had only met once in the three years of their relationship.
