Our journey is now over. My husband's interview was July 30th, so I arrived in Nigeria on the 28th, so I could be there for it. His appointment was 10:00am we got there at 8:40am and we sat there under a big oak tree untill they called for 10:00am appts. They allowed me to go as far as the sign in desk and then told me to wait outside. We brought his brother along with us cos he did not want me waiting outside alone. So after 3 hours of waiting my husband came out with a big smile on his face and I knew our prayers were answered. I ran and jumped in his arms and I danced in the street so much the guards outside thought I had lost my mind. Lol! They asked him "who filed for him? and they asked him where did we meet and how many children did I have? We did not even need an affidavit of support they say if there were no changes in my income then the last one was still good. They also wanted to see our wedding album and then the CO smiled and said come pick up your visa on Monday. We left there and went to tell the family and friends. Everybody was so happy. We killed a cow and 2 rams and celebrated till dawn. He was not able to come back with me cos the flights are too expensive right now and the air line told him that by next monththe prices with Qatar will drop about $800. so I am expecting him mid Sept. Feel free to contact me if you are a person that had your petition sent back for review. They had already approved my husbands petition even before they interviewed him cos i heard once they send a petition back one time if its reaffirmed like ours was that they cannot send it back unless they find something that they did not no before. So you see it can be done without a lawyer ( We are proof of that).
