Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We arrived 15 minutes before our appointment time. A few minutes after our appointed time, the officier in charge of our interview came out to explain that she was running behind schedule due to issues with other applicants ahead of us. Our interview started about 50 minutes after the appointed time, the officier was very polite and friendly, and mentioned several times again about not wanting to hold us up, since we had waited so long. The questions that we were asked seemed to be geared toward verifying the information that was written on our I-485 and I-130. There was no digging into our personal lives or asking anything that could be considered a "trick" question. We carried everything with us that I could possibly think we might need. What did prove to be useful was having additional papers showing accounts in both names (a few new things that we didn't have when we sent original package). The discussion lasted perhaps 20 minutes, at the end of which we received a paper to use as evidence that our case was approved. We were told to expect the "green card" in about 3-4 weeks.javascript:emoticon('')
